IL RUOLO DELLA GEOMATICA NEL MONITORAGGIO DELL’IMPATTO DEI CAMBIAMENTI CLIMATICI E ALTRI RISCHI SUL PATRIMONIO CULTURALE: RISULTATI PRELIMINARI DI UN’ANALISI BIBLIOMETRICA
Abstract
In an era marked by unprecedented climate change and environmental challenges, safeguarding our cultural heritage has gained an overriding importance. This paper conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis to deepen the role of geomatics in environmental monitoring and cultural heritage preservation, considering climate change and other risks.
A systematic analysis of the relevant literature has been made, and the VOSviewer software has been used to create maps based on the bibliographic network data to display the relationships among scientific journals, researchers, and countries and to analyze the co-occurrence of different terms connected to the research. In this way, existing studies, contributions and patterns in this interdisciplinary field have been explored, underscoring the growing significance of environmental monitoring and risk assessment methodologies, underpinned by geomatics tools, in the context of heritage conservation.
This bibliometric analysis offers valuable insights into the state of the art in the field and identifies emerging areas of research, serving as a valuable resource for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners dedicated to the preservation and protection of cultural heritage.
